It was okay, animals were cool, but a bit run down and short experience for the price. Very crowded. Not recommended for young kids, as there is only one change table in the whole place, and it was only one room. And although they have signs saying "cafe" and literal pictures of coffee take away cups, it IS NOT a cafe. They do not have coffee. The staff refer to it as a "confection stand". And if you're unlucky to want an overpriced pie during the seal show, you're out of luck, as it's locked away behind doors with staff saying "seal show is full". I just wanted a drink. So I politely asked if we could pop outside to get a coffee from the many cafes across the road. However there are no pass outs. I love fish so much, but not worth the $45 adult entry.
Was a great day out. Our 1yr old was in total awwe, expecially going through the tunnel! Even our teens loved every minute of it! Only suggestion I could make (as it is required to wash hands upon entry), is the hand wash station be have clear signage and better lighting.
Had a fab time. Did the behind the scene tour with Lucy. She was very knowledgeable. Saw the feeding of the sharks with mick which was also amazing. Thank you sealife for all the conservation and educational work you do to inform the public on the oceans and its creatures.
We did all the right things- booked online having purchased an annual ticket, wolfed our lunch down to make sure we got to our 1:30 booking on time, lined up in the cold until 1:45 only to get to the front of the line to be told we had lined up at the wrong side, but rather than be allowed in, we were told we would need to go to the end of the other line and stand in the rain until we could get in. What a waste of time and energy. I won't bother with another annual pass given the amount of times we have actually used them. The attendant was rude and cranky and told us they regularly go along the line to let people know there are two lines- this is the first time we have seen this and no-one checked the entire time we were lined up. We were not the only family caught out.
Prices are quite expensive for what is a very short experience. You're only in there for 1-2 hours and when taking a family it is costly. The staff were all great, it was way over crowded in there and we felt like we could hardly move in some spots, line to get in was outrageously long even though you book a time slot. Just felt like way too many people were in there and it was too short for the cost involved.
We did enjoy overall however seems expensive for a family- $88 for 2 adults and you’re there 2hours max. I’m guessing it’s expensive to maintain all the tanks hence the high price Go in the afternoon there is less crowding In covid times There needs to be more staff direction re numbers in the tunnel, limit the amount of people in at once (a sign does nothing) Parking was an absolute nightmare (school holidays) ended up parking in the new 6story car park a few streets away after driving around for a long time
